What EICR looks like in Sandbach.
Sandbach splits fairly evenly between domestic EICRs and small commercial units off the A533. They are different jobs. A commercial inspection needs a phasing plan so the unit keeps trading, and it needs three-phase testing on the distribution rather than the domestic schedule. If you are booking one, tell us which it is and we will price it properly.
Local housing: Historic centre around the cobbled market square, Victorian and interwar housing, and significant modern development out towards Elworth.
Good mix of domestic and small commercial. The trading estates off the A533 bring three-phase and inspection work alongside the housing.
How the job runs.
Fixed price or day rate, whichever suits the job, agreed with you up front.
- Book a slot that suits the property and the tenants.
- Full inspection and test, typically two to four hours for a three-bed.
- Every circuit graded, defects photographed.
- Report issued the next working day, with a separate quote for any remedial work.
EICR in Sandbach: straight answers.
Do you cover all of Sandbach?
Yes, CW11 and the surrounding villages. We are 7 miles away in Crewe, so it is a short run.
How long does an EICR take?
Two to four hours for a typical three-bedroom house. Larger properties and commercial units take longer and we will tell you before we book.
Do you need access to every room?
Yes. Every accessible socket, switch and light needs testing, so the tenant needs to be in or you need to arrange access.
Will the power be off?
Circuits are switched off one at a time while they are tested. Expect the supply to be interrupted for short periods rather than the whole visit.
