A single socket can often be spurred off an existing ring. A kitchen full of appliances, a workshop, or anything with a heavy continuous load needs its own circuit from the board. We test the existing circuit before deciding rather than assuming.
Zones and chasing
Cables buried in walls have to run in permitted zones, vertically or horizontally from the accessory, or sit at least 50mm deep, or be mechanically protected. This is what stops someone putting a picture hook through a live cable in five years.
